With Haiti still reeling from Tuesday’s devastating earthquake, the Red Cross has stated that it has run out of medical supplies on the island nation.
More supplies are on the way, but it is unknown when they will arrive. Meanwhile, on the Web, people eager to help are seeking out unique ways in which they can help.
In the Search box, some of the biggest queries are for different ways to “text to help.” For example, the Red Cross has set up a system where a cell phone user can text “Haiti” to the number 90999. The text message will result in a $10 donation to the Red Cross. So far, the campaign has been a massive hit. According to Mashable, the texting option has already raised over $800,000.
Another popular option for cell phone users eager to help: Text “Yele” to 501501. Doing so will result in a $5 donation to Yéle Haiti, a grassroots organization started by singer and Haiti native Wyclef Jean. Over the course of the day, Web searches on Wyclef and his organization have soared to record highs.
Even if you’d rather not donate via text message, there are other ways to give your support to those who need it most. The official sites for the Red Cross, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, and Wyclef’s Yéle Haiti are all accepting donations. Searches on those organizations surged tremendously on Wednesday afternoon.

I went to see Marcus at Hyder’s Tailor Shop today. He fixed a few pairs of jeans and some pants for me while I waited. I really like going to his place. His grandfather opened it in the 50’s (I think) after coming to the US from Lebanon. They are amazing tailors and it is always great to hang out with him. I looked for a good men’s tailor for 5 years before I realized my friend worked at one.

Look at that kid. 18 years old. Naive. Majoring in Poli Sci and cocky as all get out.
Fast forward 11 semesters and that same kids now has a degree (in marketing of course), shorter hair and is arguably MORE cocky.
I picked up my degree yesterday from the University and after a month of saying it out loud, I finally feel like it is over; I graduated. I’ve got the piece of paper now. All my pals go back to school Monday, I don’t. Kind of anti climactic, kind of sad, 100% exciting.
Time to do all the things I’ve been reserving for “after graduation”

This video was shot at Yale University’s infamous DKE fraternity house. The brothers agreed to participate in exchange for a keg of (presumably) natty ice. All they had to do was scream. Scream like animals. They had to scream until they couldn’t any longer. Then they stopped.
This video is so deceptively intense. The last few bros’ ferocity and damn near animal like facial expressions draw you in like you are watching someone in the throes of death. Awesome.

These are the best mass produced corn tortilla chips around. I grew up on them but tragically, I only get to buy them once a year when I go home to Oklahoma. People in Tennessee don’t even know they exist but most in the Southwest tend take their salty taste and perfect for dipping shape for granted while people like me have to buy them in bulk, drive them across the USA and freeze them just to curb our habits. Think I’m kidding? Check my parents basement.
So my question is, where are these things available? Are they in your area? Who at @doritosUSA do I need to seduce to get these things everywhere.
