A bunch of kids are sat in a room with a marshmallow and told to wait, alone, for a second one to arrive shortly.
The marshmallow experiment is a famous test of this concept conducted by Walter Mischel at Stanford University in the 60’s testing.

I was just waking up, as I always used to do, with Howard Stern on my clock radio. He said on the air that a small plane had hit one of the towers.
What followed was one of the most sobering broadcasts ever aired.
