Caramelized onions, asparagus, tomatoes, apples, spinach and feta on a whole wheat thin crust.
What are you creating tonight?
Rolf Potts, author of one of my favorite travel books, is traveling the world with no baggage. For six weeks he will explore 12 countries on 5 continents, crossing the equator four times, without carrying so much as a man-purse. The few items he does bring (including a toothbrush, an iPod, and a few extra items of clothing) will be tucked away in his pockets.
This is a cool project and he even got a few sponsors. Most notably, the vest company who’s clothing he is wearing.
The above video is about his “packing” strategy. I’d like to think I could do this but, it’s doubtful. I like clothes and shoes way to much.
Follow his adventures while he is traveling and read this interview with him for more insight.
Christophe Robillard: Victor Bike
I don’t like most modern redesigns of bikes which, in my opinion, is a nearly perfect machine in both form and function. But the Victor Bike, it just looks wonderful. A minimal and modern approach (one nearly continuous tube) while still following traditional (saddle and bars). Click through for more pictures.
Love it.

Fighting Nature with Nature.
I think I found a solution to my grand daddy long legs problem.
Of course by problem I mean high pitch scream inducing fear. Not of spiders, just of GDLLs!
To study emerging technologies, global media & online trends to shape them into actionable insights & marketing communications strategies.
If I had to use another’s words to describe what I want to do as a career, it would be that. After 5 years of following Steve Rubel, he seems to be a pretty tight fit with my future me.
Trying to get some posi job search waves going today if you couldn’t tell.
Make it simple but significant.
Crispin Porter + Bogusky gives baby carrots the junk food treatment.
This is just wonderful.
“…Just in time for the battle over what’s gonna be in millions of back-to-school lunches, Bolthouse Farms and nearly 50 other carrot growers today will unveil plans for the industry’s first-ever marketing campaign. The $25 million effort sets its sights on a giant, big-spending rival: junk food…”

Podcaster Leo Laporte, the everywhere man
I have had a post in my drafts about the influence Leo Laporte has had on my life over the last 10 years, for month now. I am unsure of how to finish it. Suffice to say, outside of my parents and real life mentors Leo is the reason I am me.
Watching ZDtv in 6th grade is the reason I love technology. Twit is why I started podcasting 5 years ago. Leo Laporte is my muse.
Thanks Leo.
